The Real Me ABC

I followed the formula for the first ABC post but the more I have been thinking about it the less I think it reveals about my true essence.  So I created a different one suing things that are more essential to who I am rather than what time it is or my last beverage choice.

A-Adult ADDish (If I see something shiny I am toast)
B-Bookwormish ( I read all the time, just not necessarily books)
C-Competitive (I don't mean to be, it just happens sometimes...OK nearly all the time.  I tell my Beloved Sister it is not a competition, as long as I'm winning.)
D-Delightfully Odd
E-Eventually (As in I will get it done eventually but I am easily distracted)
F-Friendly
G-Grateful (There is an abundance of things I am grateful for.)
H-Heavy (That's all I'm going to say about that)
I-Interested (I am bummed at how much I don't know and how much I will never have the time to learn)
J-Jobless (I used to be a SAHM but now the chicks have flown so I guess I am just a SAH)
K-Kind (I am very kind but I am not sweet)
L-Lazy (Gee that hurts to admit)
M-Moody (Sorry family!)
N- Non-touchy feely (I should be required to wear a Do Not Touch sign around my neck, but then the sign would touch my neck and that would begin some vicious scratch /itch cycle
O-Opinionated (if you don't believe me just ask what I think about anything)
P-Painted (Yes, I am one of those make-up women)
Q- Quirky
R-Rebellious (I just don't like being told what to do.)
S-Sarcastic
T-Tactile (I like things, fabrics, and food by feel first.  If it does not feel "right" I don't like it.)
U-Ungraceful (Can you say klutz)
V-Vocal (Yeah, I talk too much)
W-Wicked (When it comes to my sense of humor.  I promise I never use my powers for evil.)
X-Xxactly Stumped (Sorry I just can't think of an x adjective except xenophobic and I'm not that)
Y-Young (At heart)
Z-Zealous (Of things I am passionate about)

  1. Once again very interesting. Many of the adjectives I could have guest from reading your blog for a while, but this list brought things into sharper focus. But who knew you were a a painted woman? :)

    1. Makeup and opposable thumbs are the only think standing between me and animals. I wear it regularly so I don't scare dogs and small children.

  2. That's funny...I always say that I'm kind but no one would ever call me "sweet."

    1. Hmmmm, Jill. I am thinking this over and I will agree you are extraordinarily kind and considerate. But you have a wonderful slightly sarcastic edge that might keep some people from saying you are traditionally sweet. Personally I think kindness trumps sweetness, but no one ever says I am sweet, so maybe I am just jaded.

  3. Well except for the Letter "P" I would think I had written this about myself! Are we sure we weren't Siamese Twins separated at birth? lolz

  4. I'm a SAH too. For some reason, I am too busy to get a job. I think I'm doing it all wrong.

    1. I justify it by declaring any salary I brought home would throw us into a ridiculious tax bracket so I am only a SAH to save us money.

  5. you sound a lot like me, except i pretty much never wear make up these days.

The revised version of the list is much more insightful than the first!

  6. The first was just a formula, this one is actually more who I am. I don't wear makeup at home, but I don't leave home without it

  7. Good morning Anne, such a funny alphabet and so many fit me too. I especially like your D one. I would of been normal 75 years ago but now, I am just Odd :)
    Thanks for a smile

    1. I am not sure I would have ever fit the "normal" category, but at least I am not scary and function fairly well. Though I will never understand why someone can be in Home Depot and read the instructions on a product and not start tap dancing while singing "I Can DO That" from A Chorus Line.

  8. Love reading your list, Anne! Your personality shines in your responses. I felt like I could have wrote most of the answers myself. We'd get along swell!!!

  9. I love reading blogs and am always taken back at how we are all the same. My abc's are the same. Now being a SAH like you I wonder how I ever pulled off working with kids. Lol

    1. I don't know how any mom works with kids, since they are a lot of work! It is funny how much more alike most of us are, or maybe we just gravitate to similar blogs

Hey y'all thanks for leaving a comment. They are much appreciated. I read them all and do my best to respond to them, except for trolls or spam and I delete those suckers forever.
