I want to thank you Pop for keeping us laughing until today. I am forever in your debt for your unconditional love and support and so grateful you were my dad.
The Bard said it best in his play "Twelfth Night" "If music be the food of love, play on" Let's skew his meaning a bit and see just where the love of food and the love of music takes us.

In Memory
Today Dad left this plane to begin his voyage on the other side. I am very fortunate to have had both of my parents for so long and now begin the rest of my life missing one of them.
I want to thank you Pop for keeping us laughing until today. I am forever in your debt for your unconditional love and support and so grateful you were my dad.

So sorry for your loss.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, it was not unexpected but was a little sooner then we thought it would be.
DeleteI teared up listening to the hymn.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry about your Dad and I am sure you will continue his legacy in your own way.
Thank you so much. He made me who I am today.
DeleteCondolences... I have opened the hymn and will listen to it later today.
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much.
DeleteSo sorry for the loss of your father. I hope all the the wonderful memories you shared bring you comfort.
ReplyDeleteThank you Brandi, the comfort will come I know but right now the wounds are fresh.
DeleteWhat a beautiful rendition of your father's favorite hymn. His legacy already lives on with everyone you have shared the hymn with. I wish you and your family peace as you remember your father.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, and we are enjoying laughing together while crying as we talk about our memories of him.
DeleteSorry for your loss.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Theresa
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for your loss. Even when it is expected or indeed when it is a relief it is still a sad loss. My condolences. But what a handsome man he was. When my dad died a very kindly lady told me to look out for a white feather, as that is the symbol of your guardian angel. Of course I looked all week and nothing happaned but on the last morning as I was about to leave for the drive back to France a HUGE white feather floated down at my feet! You can choose to believe or not (I personally DO believe in the after life) but either way that feather was a huge comfort to me and I carry it everywhere with me in my purse.
ReplyDeleteTake care. Anna
What a lovely story, I will be on the lookout for a white feather. Thank you for sharing that with me.

DeleteThank you for your thoughts of sympathy, I will miss him for the rest of my life, but hope to remember him laughing and happy since that is how he was most of the time.
DeleteMy deepest sympathies. I know you will always miss him, and it will take a long time before the pain and sense of loss eases. Cherish the memories of your many years with him. The pain will ease, eventually. Thank you for sharing his favorite hymn; it is a beautiful hymn.
