2 Men Are The Best!

Last year the guys at Two Men and a Little Farm helped me win a yearly contest I have with My Beloved Sister. We compete to give each other a truly regrettable food item and last year they shipped me a can of haggis. I had no idea haggis could even be bought canned, but it is and I won hands down!  Imagine my surprise when a package arrived this weekend with this. ( I can share this with you since my sister never reads this blog.)



Jumbo Squid medallions in a lite marinara sauce if she is in the mood for an Italian feast.
Then she can have squid pieces in ink sauce for whatever you do with ink sauce. Pen missives about me owning the regrettable food contest maybe?

    Haggis? Eeeuw. That is one can which would remain sealed for perpetuity.

    Haggis in a can. I could just hurl. Squid is pretty gross too. Good luck. And my sisters never read my blog either. lol

    Wow yummy. I am deathly allergic to squid and octopus so I will skip the taste test.

    I think you have some winning material there. However, my late mother-in-law was always so proud when included squid in her paella. She considered it quite a delicacy.

    The marinara I would try and quite possibly like. I can't get my head around squid ink though.

    and by the way, today I saw a truck go by with pictures of canned food on it...and I evaluated the pictures for this challenge!

    I'd just wash off the sauces and use the squid pieces to make a curry! I grew up eating squid and don't feel squeamish about it, or octopus. Raw oysters, though, is something entirely different! LOL!

      Squid as a food does not bother me, but I have only eaten and cooked it fresh. It is the canned and in sauces that is the ick factor here.

    We buy canned haggis all the time! Got a local place to get it.
    As for the squid, wowza... I don't think I've tried that!!

      I have never had canned squid, and I am pretty sure I am not going to try it now. My sister fed her haggis to her dogs last Christmas. They loved it.
