Our perfect (for us) little miss left on a plane with her parents and headed to her life on the other coast. The visit was wonderful, too fast and a teensy bit chaotic. Now we are left with an insanely quiet house, toy remnants, laundry and lonely hearts. I love this child to pieces and am not sure if the best part of the visit was the huge running hug when she saw me for the first time, or the giant goodbye hug when she told me she did not want to leave Alabama. I miss her fiercely already!
Only 93 days until we see her again.
(So glad we are having a wedding in November and so happy she wants to be the flower girl. This is her trying on her "wedding dress", which according to her is more beautiful than her Elsa dress. I am not sure higher praise is possible.)

She is adorable, pretty, cute. I love her wedding dress! Is the curl natural?
ReplyDeleteThe curl was not a true curl, but was swimming pool hair.
DeleteIf she can melt my heart (which she did) I suspect yours is in a permanent puddle. Cuteness personified.
ReplyDeleteI am completely smitten!
DeleteAww I totally understand. She's a beauty and I bet lots of fun too. My granddaughter who is 4 is getting a new baby brother any day now- I won't be there for the birth though but hope to see them both soon after. It's not fair when they live so far away- GD lives in San Francisco and there are no plans to move to the East Coast. GD also loves girly dresses and Disney princess outfits. Her mother, my younger daughter, was so not girly!
ReplyDeleteI had only sons and am not girly myself, but I love this princess stage she is going through.
DeleteOh my goodness, she knows how to wear a dress. I think she is a Southern girl at heart. :)Thanks for sharing her picture. I understand why you are counting the days.
ReplyDeleteWe did notice she picks up accents quickly and left with a southern twang in a few words
DeleteGrandkids are the best! She is too too cute.
ReplyDeleteThey are great!
DeleteI agree nothing usually tops Elsa!! She is a little beauty.......you'll see her again soon............a big hug too you.
ReplyDeleteElsa is the bomb in girl world right now. GF3 is in musical theater and has the Pipes to do ‘Let It Go” justice. Pip was mesmerized listening to her singing.
DeleteShe's a beautiful little princess! So glad you had a wonderful visit with her!
ReplyDeleteThanks Brandi. I had a ball with her
DeleteI can live vicariously through you as far as being a grandma goes.....sigh.
ReplyDeleteThe time will come for you. We are mainly the grandparents who live in the IPad, though on rare occasions we morph into a 3-d Annie and Papa Joe
DeleteGorgeous girl, beee-ewtiful dress!
ReplyDeleteshe will make a very adorable flower girl
She is very excited to be the flower girl, though at first she wanted to be the blueberry girl.
DeleteThat is one gorgeous dress - your granddaughter is adorable indeed!
ReplyDeleteMy future DIL picked out the dress. I just bought it. The granddaughter is an extremely lively and sassy little gal
DeleteGosh it must be so hard living so far away from her (them). The only saving grace has got to be Skype/facetime hasn't it. I mean before it was just telephone conversations and I'm sure that didn't sink in for a child. She is a doll though isn't she!
ReplyDeleteWe love her and Facetime is our saving grace. We at least get to interact with her on a regular basis now. When she was about 2 1/2 Son 1 was at Target with her when they passed the electronics. There was a tablet on display and she wanted to stop to see Annie. Until just recently I have pretty much lived in a "box" as far as she was concerned.
DeleteWhat a beautiful little granddaughter you have! You may have to find a way to see her more :)
ReplyDeleteWhen Mom is no longer living at her house we will sell our current house and get an apartment in Portland for some part time living. TheHub plans to retire in 2 years. (He actually planned to retire this summer but things changed) After that we will make some sort of game plan.
DeleteShe looks just like a doll, Anne! So beautiful in her dress! I had to laugh at her wanting to be the blueberry girl! Too cute!
ReplyDeleteWe plan on keeping her Bless. She is a funny little monkey girl!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet post! For a sweet child -- she's adorable. Lovely read -- thanks.
ReplyDeleteWe are kind of nuts about her!
Deletewhat a cutie ! (I coming from Pam site)
ReplyDeleteWelcome Gloria! We like her!
