I was in Mexico this past week and thought very little about anything other than fun and sun.
I did find 3 small add-in Christmas presents while I was strolling through the markets.
Before we left home, I found 3 ornaments Mom had given Son1, so I carried them with me and gave them to him.
Mom bought all three of them engraved ornaments every year until they were adults. I thought I had given them all to him but I found those mixed with Son 3’s, who is getting all of his the next time we see him.
I also talked with the bell captain at the resort about the holidays there. He made it sound wonderful, not only at the resort but everything that goes on throughout the town. It sounds like something we would enjoy, and we do plan on going back next winter. Anything is possible!
Felices fiestas!
Sounds fun! I have been picking up advent gifts while out and about on weekend getaways lately. Mexico sounds lovely.
ReplyDeleteI think picking things up on getaway trip is a great idea. You find things that are a little different
DeleteI hope you are tan and have had lots of fun
ReplyDeleteSlight tan/fabulous memories
DeleteI've never been on holiday over the Christmas/New Year's dates, but was in New Orleans for a few days in 2018 a week prior to Christmas. All of the hotels and shops were dressed in their Christmas finery and it was magical. And I've been on a cruise or two in early January before the decorations were taken down, not as magical but fun to see. I can imagine the resorts would go all out as well. Sounds like fun!
ReplyDeleteWe have been in New Orleans right after Christmas through New Years and the same time frame in London. It was fun both times
DeleteUntil I saw your post I hadn't given the remotest thought to Christmas. A state of ignorance I hope to return to soon.
ReplyDeleteI am not trying to pass my fixations about the holidays on to anyone else
DeleteJust sharing some of my oddness with the world.
Maybe you can have a Feliz Navidad themed Christmas with some colorful ornaments to go on the tree. :)
ReplyDeleteIt all sounds like fun. I enjoy that you share your Christmas adventures.
