Back with Memories,Smiles and Sneezes

We are back from visiting the most beautiful girl in our world.

We had a great trip and enjoyed every single minute of it, but  (message to the guy on the plane sitting behind us) I really do wish you would refrain from flying while not feeling too well. Your sneezing and coughing were very unwelcome souvenirs we brought home with us. Thanks for the lovely gift, just in time for Thanksgiving! (She said sarcastically, while trying to see what she typed through watery blurry eyes as she enjoyed the fine art of mouth breathing because her nose was no longer capable of doing its designed job.)

    1. It was not so funny at 5 this morning when I woke sneezing and coughing my head off, so I felt I had to post my displeasure with the guy who literally coughed and sneezed all over us from Atlanta to Portland.

  3. She is a cutie. I hate to have to be near people who are sick and don't mind sharing.

  4. Flying when people are sick near you is the worst! I only fly a couple times a year but hubby flies often and he comes home with the worst bugs. He even carries hand santizer everywhere and cleans everything off in every hotel room with it but still ends up sick. Happy Thanksgiving and I hope you feel better!

  5. I am glad that you got to spend time with that precious girl - and so very sorry that the price was high. How I wish that the coughers and sneezers would stay home.

  6. Some of the worst colds I've ever had were the result of flying a few days before and I've taught elementary school for over 30 years. My husband used to fly a great deal and would always come home sick with colds.

  7. Look at that little Balletdreama. B brought home something from her flight and now I have it. We can sit and mouth breath together.

  8. She's a cutie! We are down with bad colds and bad backs (husband) and 14 for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow. I didn't fly to get my sinus and ear infection, but I have a feeling it is courtesy of our grandchildren's elementary school! Antibiotics are helping, but I think house cleaning will be of the "whipped cream on the garbage can variety". (Looks clean, but don't look too hard.) Hope you feel better soon and have a Happy Thanksgiving!

    1. A little time is all it takes. After 3 sons she is our little princess, plus all I have to do is love her with no real responsibility. Best present ever!

  11. She looks adorable, Anne. I'm sure you had a lovely visit with her. I am very sorry to hear you caught a virus, though. My daughter claims that is how she got sick, too - fellow passengers who share their germs so freely! Hope you feel better, soon!

Colds are awful but thankfully short lived

  14. That's an adorable picture! We are visiting with my mother now and my son has a cold. So he is wearing a mask when he visits. A nursing home is not the place to spread a cold.

    Happy Thanksgiving.

    1. No it is not. I have not seen Mom since I returned but I do not want to be around her while I am contagious.

  15. Glad you enjoyed your holiday - too bad about the jerk on the plane. I've had that happen too - my first flight to the UK was ruined by a guy sucking up mucus for 6 hours straight! I tried to keep my head turned away from him and luckily didn't catch anything. Hope you're better soon!
