Sorry, Y'all

I understand and feel the pain of all of you who are digging out from the snowfall.
I looked out my kitchen door this morning to check the weather and this is what I saw while I was standing on my deck.
Instead of gray skies and snowfall I saw sunny blue skies and a pink puff of redbud blooms.
I am pretty sure spring has sprung here, but I also know Mother Nature can be sort of fickle, so I am not planting anything __yet!

  1. Funny, I was going to post redbud tomorrow. We have to be careful. Tonight and tomorrow night will be below freezing. At least it is not snowing feet of snow.

    1. I understand it is supposed to be around freezing but not a hard frost. Hopefully things will be ok.

  2. Spring is an exciting time of year isn't it? But fickle. So very fickle.
On this side of the world I am starting to plan our spring garden display. Hundreds of bulbs have arrived, and hours of weeding are called for. Then hours of planting.

  3. I am getting ready for spring planting. I do not do much bulb planting in the fall. I have squirrels all over the yard and they dig up and eat the bulbs about as fast as I can plant them.

  4. This has been a good year for the azaleas. So pretty. I'm enjoying them after this cold winter. I feel bad about the snow up north, but oh well. I made a huge change in my life moving down here for the warm weather. It hasn't always been rosy, but at least I don't have to shovel snow anymore.

    1. The dogwoods and azaleas are just starting to bud here. In about 3 days it should be a showcase!

    2. We lived in a town that had an annual Dogwood Azalea Festival. My son won the little prince or king of the festival when he was three and we had lived there about three weeks.

    1. I do like this tree in the spring and in the summer it provides nice shade, but it sucks in the fall when the seed pods start to fall.

    1. It was pretty yesterday, but today is windy and I have little pink blossoms all over the back yard. Today the leaves are peaking out from the limbs

  8. I am one of the lucky ones too, although not nearly as warm we have no snow for which I am grateful. And the daffodils and tulips are starting to bloom, sometimes they bloom earlier but it has been colder here this Spring. Such a beautiful tree!
