Perfect Use for Crap Candy

This seems like an appropriate song for today, "Salt Peanuts"

I will be honest and say out loud for the world to hear__I hate candy corn, unless . . .

Candy Corn
Salted cocktail peanuts
Peanut m&m's
Plain m&m's

Place all in a covered bowl. Shake to mix. Put some in a small bowl. Eat. Try to stop eating.

  2. I am not that fond of candy corn, myself, but that bowl of candies and peanuts looks delicious! I wouldn't be able to stop eating!

    2. LOL, Tommy would eat it that way, too. He eats things not meant to be eaten from a glass.

  3. I love candy corn, and this recipe would only make me fall deeper in love with the stuff.

  4. Ugh! I thought they were lemon/orange flavored. The first time I put one in my mouth, I couldn't believe it. Pure sugar!

  5. I can't stand them either, but put them in front of me and I still snack on them. Doesn't even make any sense! I can see how this idea would be addictive. I love sweet and salty together!

    1. It's the sweet salty combo with chocolate that makes it great.

  6. Candy corn is rare in Australia - but still appears occasionally. Particularly around Halloween, which is something we really don't celebrate (despite the efforts of the big stores to get us in).

    1. Candy corn is available year round here in small packages but at Halloween they blow out the big bags.

  7. I hear you can microwave it to make a sort of Butterfinger filling....then just dip in chocolate and pretend you are eating my fav candy bar.
Walgreens has a Turkey Dinner candy corn bag....it's all the flavors of a Thanksgiving dinner depending on what color each "corn" is. Some are truly disgusting from what I hear.

    1. Turkey dinner candy corn sounds so bad, but if I see it I imaging now that I know about it I will buy it just to gross myself out.

  8. I like candy corn in small doses. So, I try not to buy it because I don't need the sugar.

  9. I'm not a huge candy corn eater, but I could get behind that mix.

  11. I like candy corn okay, but it's one of the sweets I can avoid. But I wouldn't be able to avoid this combo.

  13. Hilarious! I'm one of those rare people who don't mind them, but your idea would make them even better. :)

  14. I am not even sure of my thoughts on candy corn. I mean, it is pure sugar, mushed together inot a fun shape. I don't normally just chew on sugar! But when in a snack mix, it has appeal. Same as the little orange pumpkins-adorable, but hmmm.

    1. I dislike the little pumpkins even more than I do candy corn, probably because it is just thicker. But mix stuff in and it is a game changer

  15. Yummy! Candy corn is like those orange circus peanuts, you can only eat one or two before they make you sick. LOL And homemade trail mix is so much cheaper than store bought.

    1. I would not exactly call this trail mix. I can't imagine hikers carrying this, but it is deadly sitting around the house.

  16. I'm a chocolate gal all the way- don't care for any of the sour jelly type things either. My kids all loved Jolly Ranchers ick. Luckily none cared for coconut so at Halloween I got all their Almond Joy candy bars. My sis has a great recipe for Mounds bars- maybe later on we can post candy recipes yum HeeHee.
