Lots to Do__Little Time

The decorating is done, the wrapping caught up, and the mess from decorating and wrapping is everywhere. Additionally I have not even begun baking and Son3 and DIL3 will be here Sunday evening. Yikes! I need to get crackin’ but I am out of gas tonight .

Christmas sighting Day 19: This is the funky little kitchen tree . It is a sparse tree with sparse decorations.  It sits on the island with fruit, nuts, and candies beneath  it. However right now the candy is not out because it will be eaten. The mandarins and nuts are safe though. Go figure!

  1. I love the tree. Those candy canes would be safe from me.

  2. It's a very cute tree and I like the idea of setting out bowls of nuts, fruits, and candy, too! So glad to hear that Son3 and DIL3 will be there, tomorrow night! DIL3 is in for a treat when she sees all your decorating! :)

  3. Love the tree. I would rather eat the fruit and nuts than the candy canes.
    Rest up (if you can).

  4. I love nuts- I bought a package of nuts in the shell too. Remember the wooden bowls with a knob in the middle that held the cracker and picks. I should look on Ebay and see if they are around. Your tree is sweet- I usually do a little kitchen tree with food ornaments (mainly cupcakes) but I didn't get any ornaments out this year. My family has decided we're going to have Christmas in July at the beach this year, rent a large house, and play our dice game we always play Christmas eve- not this year though. I'm thinking my 2 brothers in Iowa can come and my little sis in SC plus my son and his wife in SF and daughter and family now in Atlanta. Gives me something to look forward to. What a year 2020 has been.

    1. It has been a crazy year. I think we are going to go to Son2 and Dil2's house Christmas Day, put their gifts on the porch and watch from afar while they open them, since they have both had first degree covid exposure.

  5. You've got all day today to tidy up before your DIL sees the Christmas wonderland you have created in your house, so no worries. What are they going to use to decorate the tree that you left for them?

    1. I have boxes and boxes of ornaments and lights. There is plenty for them to use.

  6. I love all your little trees! I put out oranges along with a tin of baking on the island as well. Neither of my kids liked nuts so I haven't had those in several years.

Quite the game last night! Both teams played well so it was very entertaining.

  7. I love that you have trees decorated everywhere, but I tend to agree about not putting the candy out underneath it already!

    1. We have "safe" candy that can be put out but the chocolate stuff has to wait!

  8. It's so pretty and I like the color pip of orange. If you don't get to baking, there's always fruit and nuts.

    1. I do too. I saw it about 8 years ago and knew it was coming home with me. I don't use it every single year but love it when I do.

    1. They arrived a tad early, but we had nearly everything done and everything that could light was lit and shining
