Christmas Sighting Day 12: This brown wood looking (really resin) Santa stands guard by the door between the foyer and the living room. His bag contains a small present, because it can. I was not planning on sharing this, because it is a pretty unremarkable Christmas touch, but I forgot to take any pictures before it was dark and things just did not photograph well. I hope to remember to do it tomorrow morning when the light in the house is its best. Fingers crossed!
The Bard said it best in his play "Twelfth Night" "If music be the food of love, play on" Let's skew his meaning a bit and see just where the love of food and the love of music takes us.

The unremarkable is often most remarkable. I really love the Santa.
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda. I have had him for years and each year he moves to a different place in the house.
DeleteI, too, like your Santa. Yay, you got most of the decorating done! I am looking forward to seeing your photos. I managed to get the tree decorated, today! :)
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo! Glad you got your tree done!
DeleteHe has charm.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you got ahead today. I didn't.
Of all the photos I took at late night 30 his was the only decent one to be had.
DeleteI did not get ahead, but at least I caught up.
I like the Santa, too. Your house is so beautiful with all of the decorations. It reminds me of the decked out houses you see during house tours during the Holiday season. Of course, those aren't happening this year.
ReplyDeleteOh I am nowhere decked out like the tour houses. I swear they even have floating wreaths in their toilet bowl!
DeleteFloating wreaths are a new one for me!
DeleteI like him a lot, I'm glad you shared him with us :)
ReplyDeleteEvidently he has a chip on his shoulder and demanded to be shared!
DeleteI love him, Anne. I hope you have a beautiful day.
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda, I hope you have a nice day without stressing at work.
DeleteI love hime, Anne. He is classic Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI guess he is classic Christmas. When Pip is here at Christmas we play a game and the monkey butler hides chocolate coins in the bag for her to find in the morning.
DeleteOh that Santa is just adorable!
ReplyDeleteHe is cute for a resin cast Santa. I must like him because I put him out every year. I do have him guard a different location in the house each year though.
DeleteWhat an interesting Santa, I do like him very much! Hooray, you got your decorating done...there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
ReplyDeleteTake care, stay well!
It is not finished but the time consuming stuff is done. The rest is just a touch here and there.
