Things Are Moving In The Right Direction

Things progressed today and I am through with all the time-consuming decorating. I still have a couple of areas needing a little love, but it will happen. I am feeling better about it, and with a little luck and elbow grease should be happily baking by Wednesday!

Christmas Sighting Day 12:  This brown wood looking (really resin) Santa stands guard by the door between the foyer and the living room. His bag contains a small present, because it can. I was not planning on sharing this, because it is a pretty unremarkable Christmas touch, but I forgot to take any pictures before it was dark and things just did not photograph well. I hope to remember to do it tomorrow morning when the light in the house is its best. Fingers crossed!

  1. The unremarkable is often most remarkable. I really love the Santa.

    1. Thank you Linda. I have had him for years and each year he moves to a different place in the house.

    1. Of all the photos I took at late night 30 his was the only decent one to be had.
I did not get ahead, but at least I caught up.

  4. I like the Santa, too. Your house is so beautiful with all of the decorations. It reminds me of the decked out houses you see during house tours during the Holiday season. Of course, those aren't happening this year.

    1. Oh I am nowhere decked out like the tour houses. I swear they even have floating wreaths in their toilet bowl!

    1. I guess he is classic Christmas. When Pip is here at Christmas we play a game and the monkey butler hides chocolate coins in the bag for her to find in the morning.

    1. He is cute for a resin cast Santa. I must like him because I put him out every year. I do have him guard a different location in the house each year though.
